Dining Out for Life 2003 is coming soon!

The 9^th Annual Dining Out for Life will be held on Thursday March 13, 2003.

We welcome restaurants and businesses to participate with us.

This year, in an exciting show of cooperation and collaboration, the AIDS service organizations in Pierce and Thurston Counties have decided that March 13, 2003 will be the day for Dining Out in the South Sound area. Restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, lunch counters, delis, and coffee shops in both counties will come together on the same day to support the fight against HIV and AIDS in the South Sound region.

What is Dining Out for Life?

One day each year, participating restaurants contribute 25% of the day’s food sales to the Pierce County AIDS Foundation and United Communities AIDS Network to help support client care and education programs.

How does Dining Out for Life help our community?

Funds raised in the event will be used to provide HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and care services in Pierce and Thurston Counties. Proceeds from participating restaurants will go to the county in which they are located.

How will my restaurant benefit from the event?

All participating restaurants will receive extensive publicity on over 2,000 posters over 30,000 postcards distributed throughout the South Sound area, as well as print and radio ads.

How can my restaurant/business get involved?

It’s easy! Just call or email PCAF and we will provide you with everything you need to get involved. Our goal is to make it easy for you to participate and to fill your restaurant with customers on March 13^th.

What is the deadline for participation?

In order to receive the benefits of extensive publicity for your restaurant, we need to hear from you before January 20^th!

I am not a restaurateur, but I would like to help out some other way—what can I do?

· We are looking for businesses to sponsor the event and help underwrite costs so all money raised will go directly to programs and services. As a sponsor, your business would be listed on all promotional materials for the event.

· If you have products to donate, several gift baskets will be raffled off on the day of the event—another great way to get your business name out in the community.

· We also need dozens of “hosts” to greet customers at participating restaurants and thank them for Dining Out for Life.
