Help
support
The BASIC NEEDS program.
The Basic Needs program gives clients the
option to have volunteers deliver bags directly to the home.
* These programs are available only to those clients living with AIDS who
meet income and other eligibility criteria.
The Basic Needs Program has always relied on the support of private
organizations, businesses, churches, schools, and individuals. Over the
years, government funding for these programs grew; recently however, while
the number of clients accessing PCAF's services increases, government
funding has been greatly reduced.
So, what can you do to support Pierce County AIDS Foundation in its effort
to continue distribution of over 200 Food Bags and 100 Essential Needs
Bags each month to people living with AIDS?
Help a person living with AIDS by making a contribution of items from the
following list. Because we feel it is important that all of our clients
receive bags with the same or similar items, we ask that you adhere to the
list with reference to size, type or brand. (Some brands are placed in
parenthesis to indicate which items we are now purchasing and that the
brand name for those particular items is not important.)
If you prefer to make a cash donation, we will use it to purchase these
items "at-cost." All donations are tax deductible. If you have
questions about the Food Bag or Essential Needs Bank programs, contact
Jenny at 383-2565.
